 I'm getting ready to head out the day after tomorrow for some pretty intense traveling and ministry time. I have 11 ministry events in 7 days, and will drive about 3000 miles, so I'd really appreciate your prayers. Then I fly to Florida for another event, and then take a trip with my family for Thanksgiving. I'll be ready for it, and I'm sure I'll be feeling thankful. :)
I am so thankful. The longer I walk with the Lord, the more thankful I am for what He's done, and who He is. Because I know who I am, and I know who I am without God, and I can never thank Him enough that He doesn't leave us alone. He wants to be with us, and He is the God of the universe. I wrote below about a moment that really touched me this week, as people proclaimed the Truth about this God who has changed everything for me.

A Random Act of Truth This week the pianist at my church sent me a link to a youtube featuring a "random act of culture" - the Opera Company of Philadelphia planned a flash mob at the Macy's downtown, and with 650 or so additional choristers from area churches and choirs and the help of the on-site organ, they sang the "Halleluia Chorus" from Handel's Messiah. It was amazing to watch, and I was expecting to laugh when people realized what was happening, etc. What I wasn't expecting was to cry through the whole video. You see, what was so powerful to me was all of these people proclaiming at the top of their lungs in a totally secular and public place like a Macy's that "the Lord God Omnipotent reigneth" and "the kingdom of this world is become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ". I was amazed. This great work is so moving and powerful, and to hear it proclaimed like that brought me to tears. At the end, people held up signs saying that it was a random act of culture. I know that it was a publicity stunt. I know that the Opera Company of Philadelphia and Macy's are both getting some great exposure from it. I know that people think it was a random act of culture, but it wasn't. It was a random act of truth. Some of them didn't know that's what they were doing, but it doesn't change it. They were proclaiming Truth. As I'm studying in Isaiah, and I see that in the last days, nations will be streaming to the mountain of the Lord, wanting to know His ways, wanting to walk in His paths (Isaiah 2), I am struck that this was just a little taste of what is to come. Romans says, quoting Isaiah, "As surely as I live,' says the Lord, every knee will bow before me; every tongue will acknowledge God." In the end, everyone will acknowledge this. The question is, will we proclaim it reluctantly because we can no longer deny it, or will we proclaim it with the ultimate joy of knowing that our Lord really does reign forever? Here are the words. I can't possibly say it better than this: Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
