All Will Come

Jennifer ShawWell, the world didn't end.  Are you happy?  Or are you sad?  Seriously, the Bible tells us we can't know the day or hour when Jesus will return, but it does tell us a lot about that time, and it's going to be glorious.  I wrote about it below, because sometimes when life gets hard, I need to look at God's promises.  And they are amazing!  They remind me that there's more than this, and how big our God really is!

We've had a couple of really encouraging months here - quite a few great events that were so fun to do, and my radio single "Will You Find Me Here" is in the Top 40 on Billboard right now (the second one from this album) so that's been fun!  I've been booking events for this summer and fall and even into next year, and we'd love to hear from you!  If there's an event you'd like to partner on, email us or fill out our booking form here - we'd love to talk with you!  We're also gearing up for Adventure Week at our church, and I produce a play for that, so there's always a lot of work and fun involved there too - this year we're headed out on an African safari, which you know I wish I was doing for real!  I also continue to work on my book about my son Toby's struggle with SPD and God's faithfulness in that time, and on writing some new songs.

You can catch up on all the doings on my blog, and also see where we're headed on my events page.  We'd love to see you!   We also updated a few things, so don't forget to check out the women's ministry page and see what's new!

Let us know if we can serve you in any way - we love to stay connected, and love to hear from you!

In Christ,

Jennifer

All Will Come
When Jesus Really Returns

Does anyone out there need encouragement? I do, and often. There are so many things in this world, and in our culture that just depress me. When I feel like that, I love to look at the promises of the Lord. Do you know that it's not always going to be like this? There is another time coming, and for those who love the Lord, it will be glorious!

In Isaiah 2:2 it says, "In the last days the mountain of the LORD's temple will be established... and all nations will stream to it."

In Isaiah 60: 1-6 "Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you... Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn... And all...will come, bearing gold and incense and proclaiming the praise of the LORD."

And in Isaiah 49:7 it says: "Kings will see you and rise up, princes will see and bow down, because of the LORD, who is faithful."

I love thinking about that day when Christ returns and all nations will stream toward the truth of the Lord! How wonderful that will be.

We have already seen a foreshadowing of this in Jesus' birth when the Wise Men (Kings of the East) came and bowed before Jesus, bringing gold, frankincense, and myrrh. When Christ comes again, it will be all nations. And this time they will just bring gold and incense. Why? Because gold is for Jesus' Kingship, incense is for His Priestship, and myrrh is for His death. But in that day, there will be no more death, no need for myrrh. He has conquered it!

Rev. 21:1-4 "Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth ... And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, 'Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.'"

Can you picture it? Isn't it amazing? When our world makes us despair, we need to remember that God has a bigger plan, and that this is temporary - His reign is forever! Let's fix our eyes on Him, and remember His promises because He is faithful and He will do it!
