| Jennifer Shaw Music Newsletter | August, 2009 | | Hello! I hope you're well! I am thrilled to share with you all that God is doing right now. NEW ALBUM The most exciting thing for me is that I've spent the last month hard at work in Nashville on the new project. I feel like it's becoming my second home! We finished writing all the new songs a few weeks ago, and last week we began recording. I am absolutely amazed at God's goodness to us in this! The players were amazing, and I can't wait for you to hear it. The pre-release should be available sometime in October for members of this list, with the national release coming in January. I can't wait to see how God will use it! You can see pictures and read a bit about the process in my blog, and you can hear the single at radio now on my media page with pictures from the UK and Kenya - just click on the slideshow. NEW MUSIC, NEW STORIES, NEW WOMEN'S EVENTS Also, we've been developing a new concert around the new music, and all of the new stories the Lord has given us through our trip to the UK and Kenya. I have also been working on new women's speaking and retreat topics, and will add them to the website soon. I'm so eager to share this that I want to put a special offer out there - if you bring me in for a ministry event, or connect me with someone who does, I'd love to give you two signed copies (one for you, one for a friend) of the new album as soon as it's out. How can we partner with you in ministry? RADIO PLAY I've also been doing a lot of radio visits lately, and it's a blessing to see how the new single is being picked up by stations all over the country - sometimes it's a bit surreal. Don't forget to call yourlocal station and request "Your Great Name" - you have no idea how much one phone call or emailcan do! I've had many stations move my songs into heavy rotation because of one email. And if you're hearing my songs already, let them know that you appreciate it. Thanks so much! NEW BOOK I am also so extremely proud and happy to let you know that my mom and dad's book is out. As many of you know, we are coming up on the third anniversary of my dad's death. While he was sick with ALS, he kept a journal of what God was teaching him through his illness. My mom has been lovingly editing this journal for over a year now into a book, "No One Tells a Dying Guy to Shut Up". I just finished reading it again last night, and even though it's really hard to read because it makes me miss him so much, I couldn't put it down. It's funny and touching and moving and absolutely glorifying to God, a testament to His faithfulness to my dad and family. I'm so proud of them both! To read more about it, go to my mom's website. To God be the glory! Well, that's all for this month - thanks for reading, and thanks for praying for us! We really want to see God lifted up in every way, and it's exciting to see Him moving in our lives. Write us and let us know how we can serve you in the Lord! In Christ, Jennifer | | | | | | |
