Father God, are You with me tonight?
I feel so lonely.
Father God, are You listening tonight?
My prayers seem empty.
But I am down on my knees.
Rescue me when the sun won’t shine And I can’t stop the time that steals away and leaves me. Comfort me when my soul is so sore. All I have is Yours, but I need Your light to shine on me.
Father God, are You speaking tonight? I listen for You. Father God, are You reaching tonight? I reach up for You. And I am down on my knees.

Rescue me when the sun won’t shine And I’m losing my mind and I cry out, “God please hold me!” Comfort me when my soul is so sore. And I don’t know what it’s for, but I need Your light to shine on me.
